GM Hosts "Find Your Style" Ride and Drive Event as Preview to AutoShow in Motion

Exclusive driving opportunities and charity auction to benefit YMCA of Southern Nevada

Las Vegas – General Motors will host the invitation-only “Find Your Style” ride and drive event to benefit the YMCA of Southern Nevada on Wednesday, October 5 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Event highlights will include the opportunity to ride along with professionally trained drivers performing “hot laps” in GM’s performance vehicles, including the Pontiac GTO, Cadillac XLR and Chevy Cobalt SS. In addition to exclusive vehicle access, food and entertainment, interactive lifestyle villages featuring Time Inc. publications, In Style, Sunset, Sports Illustrated and Health will be onsite with the latest styles and trends in fashion, fitness and more.
As a preview to the public opening of AutoShow in Motion, the “ Find Your Style” ride and drive provides guests the opportunity to test-drive GM cars and trucks in a high-energy, no-pressure setting. Guests are certain to “find their style” within an exciting array of GM passenger cars, trucks and performance vehicles. Confirmed celebrity guests include National Baseball Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda and NFL legend, Marcus Allen.

A live auction featuring the all-new 2006 Chevy Corvette Z06 will take place with all proceeds donated in support of the YMCA of Southern Nevada. In addition, a cash donation of up to $10,000 will be presented to the YMCA for the total number of vehicles test-driven during the ride and drive program.

"This event is a fun and exciting way to kick off AutoShow In Motion in Las Vegas,” said Mike Jackson, general manager for GM's Western region. “GM has a long-standing history of supporting community-based organizations. We’re delighted with the opportunity to make a contribution to the YMCA of Southern Nevada, while also showcasing the best of GM through a fun and spirited ride and drive program.”

AutoShow in Motion, the world’s only auto show where consumers get the chance to drive vehicles from every GM brand and their competitors, opens to the public Thursday, October 6 and runs through Sunday, October 9.
